Job Description

Advance Career Ltd, on behalf of our client a leading provider of marine and energy industry services is seeking an experienced and dynamic Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator/Advisor The HSE Coordinator/Advisor will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Conduct internal and external HSE audits to assess compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Monitor operations to ensure adherence to legal and company-specific HSE requirements.
Ensure compliance with legislation and project requirements.
Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments in the workplace to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Organize and deliver HSE training programs to all personnel, promoting a strong safety culture.
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, propose corrective actions, and maintain detailed records of all safety related activities.
Serve as the primary contact with regulatory bodies, ensuring that the company meets all legal HSE obligations.
Coordinate emergency drills and ensure that all personnel are trained in
emergency response protocols.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans tailored to the company’s operations.
Provide technical guidance on HSE issues during meetings and offer solutions for HSE-related challenges.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields of Engineering (Mechanical,
Marine, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field).
Previous experience in HSE roles within construction projects, shipyards, or heavy industries in the marine or energy sector.
Certifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001) or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
Additional certifications in Fire Safety, Process Safety Management, or similar are advantageous.
Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
