A complete escape from the rigours and stress of work is the goal of taking a well deserved Holiday.
But can we truly recover in a week or 5 days holiday break that involves packing, travelling, unpacking, attempting to rest, packing again heading back home and reporting back to work?
Leaders might demonstrate by example that a two-week break is completely ordinary.
The attitude of the office is “we don’t stress” if you are going to be gone for a week.
In a weeks’ time she/he will return.
Whatever “it” may be, it has that much patience. But for the task to continue after two weeks, a system must be already formed and in place.
